Meet Jon Barrow
I would like to introduce myself to you and hope that you will consider me the next time you have a need for a quality Master Plumber. I am a fully licensed and insured South Carolina Plumbing Contractor with over 35 years experience, operating throughout Mt. Pleasant, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Downtown and the Greater Charleston area, Bluffton and Hilton Head. In the early days of my 5 year apprenticeship I was very fortunate to work with very good craftsmen/tradesmen who knew their trade inside out and passed their knowledge on to me, instilling in me the motivation to always strive for quality workmanship and never cut corners. This stood me in good stead in the years ahead and I gradually built my reputation upon their teaching. Over the first two years of my apprenticeship I gained enough experience to go out in the field on my own. I was given a vehicle and traveled all over London doing the work of much more experienced Plumbers. During the latter part of my apprenticeship I performed commercial plumbing and worked for an international company, Haden Young. I was involved in very large contracts including Guys Tower which was the new complex for the world famous Guys Hospital in South London, and also a huge office block built over London Bridge train station and many other contracts. I soon had extensive experience in all aspects of Plumbing and Central Heating and started my own company in 1979 which became very successful, undertaking general plumbing, maintenance, installation and repairs, and the full spectrum of the domestic plumbing industry. I later specialized in new build housing and apartments. In the past 30 years I have completed over 100 large plumbing projects ranging from 400 apartments to single family homes valued at $4 million each, and many residential renovation and repair projects. In 2008 we completed a new housing development of single family homes and apartments, installing plumbing for all kitchens and bathrooms. I am skilled in copper, brass, cast iron, ABS, PVC, Poly pipe, PEX, clay pipe, and iron pipe. After many years of working as a Plumbing Engineer in London, I have the experience and knowledge to work in the finest homes in the Lowcountry.
When I came to America in 2008 I was fortunate to work for a local commercial and residential plumbing company, supervising and directing more than 20 plumbers working on 8 to 10 jobs simultaneously. In 2010 we established Jon Barrow Plumbing Services in the USA and our business has grown steadily each year by building solid relationships with local homeowners.
